Wink Well grasshoppers...What a blast!!!

I think the pictures say it all. Thanks everybody for making this an STR event to remember. I plan on doing this again next year...even bigger and better. What a trip down memory lane. Those bikes you guys brought were awesome! The Race of Truth was a complete blast for both the guys and the girls.. although there seemed to be a lot of "full body contact" during some of the heats! I think there will be some real grudge matches again next year!!!

As it turned out, we didn't finish until well after 2 pm and the food at Roscoe's tasted great afterwards. I finally ended up at KeepsWhatHappen's (John)house trying to learn Rock Band. Kristine put out an great spread and finally ended the day playing guitar around the fire pit with Jesse, Brenda, Eric, John, Kristine, Gene and John's daughter Megan... What a nice finish to a superb day... Can't wait until next year, we'll do it all again!

Extra thanks to Gene and John for the help... it's friends like you that make this such a great group of people to ride and hand with.

I'm glad some other folks got some photos of the people with the bikes. I was so enthralled with the cool old school gear that I almost forgot there were people there! I think that the Kleins were my favorite, although everybody knows I have a thing for the GT's. Thanks again to everybody, and I'm all up for the once a month idea.

Greg,
Thanks for organizing this awesome ride today! What a nostalgic trip back in time I had! I was almost wishing I had never upgraded my 92' Haro Extreme with modern components after seeing so many vintage rides with their original equipment. And to think...I almost sold my Haro 8 years ago to buy a new surfboard! I would have surely been kicking myself in the behind today.

Thanks again, Rich

Really wish I could have made the event...there were some bikes there that I haven't seen is some time and I'm sure every bike has a few good stories to be told with it

Great ride yesterday. I'll post pictures when I get home. Just woke up from a wild night of partying at the Early's household.

Thank you Greg, Gene, John and all others who helps put yesterdays ride together. It was a great time pulling out all the old bikes and riding those short travel or rigid loves of yesteryear. Everyone was never so proud of there old bikes. And the little bike race at the end was a blast. I can't wait until next years event.

One thing, riding that rigid made my shoulders a little sore this morning.

Looks like a great time! Jason and I opened the shop in the morning, so we couldn't make it, but we'll be there next year!

Kevin wins for best costume. That's the best Clash shirt I've ever seen!

It's also funny how Jessie (One Leg) just rode what he normally would have, and dressed how he normally would have also.

Great ride! Thanks to OMR and others for getting this organized.
Tons of great bikes to see and tons of laughs to hear. The after ride was as much fun as the ride. Thanks to KeepsWhatHappens for the Alesmith - my new favorite IPA!

Wow! That was an awesome event. For me it wasn't just a ride but a great day filled with fun and friends.

Big thanks to Gregg for hosting the ride and to Gene for helping! I think it was one of the best-attended STR events in some time. And also thanks for serenading us with your immense musical talents on the guitar. That was very special indeed!

Andy and Heather - sorry you guys left too early and missed the real "Rock Star!" But thank you very much for the fine ales you brought over.

While I really enjoyed the vintage ride, honestly I didn't enjoy my "ride" that much. That Zaskar in too rough on my old bones and I'm with Carl - a monthly retro ride ain't a good idea in my book! It's hard for me to believe I used to ride that thing everywhere like Porcupine Rim Trail without a thought of how rough it was. It's all perspective I guess.

But that said, I am really looking forward to next year's vintage ride!

OK bear with me I have digital constipation and it will take a while to post everything...

...more to come...
