Oh! The pain!

Looking at these lovely pictures and ride reports makes me sad! We couldn't come because we were doing the Tour de SoCal...
San Diego --> OC to deliver bike parts
OC --> Venice to visit cousins
Venice --> Hollywood to get Dan's new CX bike
Hollywood --> Riverside to pick up a rear triangle from Denmo
Riverside --> back home!

Whew!

Anyway...you have given me inspiration to want to ride SART!

Ok...my phone officially died after going for a dip yesterday. I had full coverage, whatever that means....and it still cost me $50 bucks to replace. I had most of my contacts backed up, but haven't backed it up in awhile so I did loss some phone numbers and new pix I had on there. I think it's time to get a memory card in case that happens again.

Verizon has backup assistant. All your contacts are automatically saved on the web and can be viewed, updated, printed. No fee if you are enrolled in My Verizon.

Thanks, I did have over 200 contacts backed up, but I haven't backed up my account in probably 3 mo or so, so I lost a few of the new ones. I guess I should have it set to automatically back it up.

John aka KeepsWhatHappnens and I met up with OMR just off I-5 along with several others(Doug Grant, Uncle Rico, Ken). After loading up, we headed out.

As OMR had mentioned, we got to the post office and no one was there. I called CC and Tim aka Jason Mason but no answer. Luckily I also had Willie's number and got a hold of her and she informed us that everyone was parked up the road. So off we went to met up with the others.

Finally getting to Jenks Lake parking we headed out, all 26 riders! What a blast! Started a bit late but with this many riders, that's to be expected. Everyone stuck together, took pics, and just enjoyed the scenery. Like many on this ride, I myself have never been to SART. This trail was what I expected, a fun long singletrack with beautiful scenery. The weather wasn't bad since we rode among trees. I tell ya I'll be back for sure. Thanks OMR for setting this up. So when's the next SART trip?

WW Looks like a great ride for everyone, Wish i could have made it also, Couldn't get away from a previous plan. Seem Angelous Oak elevation is at 5,500 ft roughly, if I've gone i would probably slowed the pack down a bit, at that altitude, I would have been winded every 10 ft climing an ant hill of a trail, maybe next time.

Thank you for all the pictures everyone, I hope to meet everyone one soon or in a near future. Just gotta keep working out and riding, so I don't slow eveyrone or the group

Not that tough of a trail, some exposure in several areas. We only climbed just under 1700 ft in about 17 miles. It's the elevation that will get you, cause we're riding above 6000 ft most of the time. I'm sure we'll get another "SART newbie" ride going again. Hope you can join us then.

CC- I think Jared owes you a new phone for saving Caleb. While the rest of us were busy feeding our faces you were being a lifeguard! Nice job of moving fast!

Please do, Gene. Many TA's were at the Women's clinic and unable to ride SART. I'm sure we could get a good showing on the next one.
