Warriors Society Patrol - STT/Luge 6-20-08
In sweltering heat the Warriors did a short USFS patrol up STT and down the Luge today. At the Modjeska Grade gate we stopped and chatted with a fellow mtber and how the area is still closed. Opening date is still reportedly November 2008, but with any luck it will be sooner.
Not too much of interest to report except the trail is still in rough shape from rains and is getting grown over a fair amount by mustard. I just took a few photos since it was so stinkin' hot.  Chip aka Chipster spots a snakeskin so he and I stopped to check it out.  Its a good sign gopher snakes are in the burn area.  STT getting grown over by mustard.  Chip climbing up to the flagpole.  Matt aka ocrider and Gene aka Genusmtbkr5 check out the register at the Luge. Anyone have a new 3'x5' flag they want to donate. Gene and I will take it up there and fly it. |
