I was the guest guide yesterday since Donna aka Cadownhilldoll had asked me to lead the Trail Angels through Chiquita Ridge. We started from Beachfire Bar and Grill and Ladera and rode just under 17 miles and 2100 feet elevation gain. We had a dozen riders which Beth quickly named us "The Dirty Dozen."

This was our route.

We had a great group of riders and no crashes or major mechanicals which made for an awesome ride. After the ride most of us stayed to enjoy some good grub and drinks at the Beachfire. Kristine aka Singletrack Angel, Brenda aka Brendagilbert, Doug aka dwhouse and Erik B. joined us after the ride for good company at the Beachfire.

Good to see Calvin back out on the bike. How's his arm doing? Last I heard he was still having problems pulling up on it... like when you ride a single speed!

I failed to mention how fun it was to finally hang out with the other Trail Angels! Maybe someday I will be able to woman up and ride with them, and actually keep up, besides in my dreams!
