Idyllwild - Ernie Maxwell's, Southridge & more
Sorry for the late report, but Saturday several of us, about 28 rider, went and shuttled Ernie Maxwell and rode up to Southridge plus other trails in Idyllwild along with Hurkey Creek XC course. What a blast I tell ya! My day started early, about 4:30am. We had to meet in Hemet by 7am so I got on the rode at 5am. There I met up with Debbie(db250f) her hubby Erik, Vickie, Donna(CaDownhilldoll) and Steve our host and a couple other Trail Angels, Kelly and Lynn. Not long before the others arrived and we set out for Hurkey Creek where we met more riders.
We loaded the bikes and headed to the top of Ernie Maxwell. I was excited to ride this again since the last time I rode it, I broke a rib and did the rest of the Ernie Maxwell and Southridge with a broken rib.  I tell ya, riding with this many people was so much fun! my camera couldn't reload fast enough cause so many were coming down too fast. The waiting was minimal and everyone was a blast to ride with. Ernie Maxwell was a blast! No broken rib this time and I even rolled the rock I busted my rib on  . I wanted to take a picture of it, but didn't want to stop. I did manage to snap a few pictures.From there, we climb up to Southridge and regrouped. Fun trail for sure. It was some of the girls first time and I tell ya, you wouldn't have known. These ladies rocked. Once we descended Southridge, we had another re-group. I can't remember any of the other trail names, but I know we did 2 of the 3 Hombres, most of the 24 hour course, and 2 other trails that I didn't do during the STR campout. Afterwards we went to Steve's house were some of us jumped in the pool, had some beers, margaritas, a lots of food! I want to thank Donna and Steve for hosting such a great day of riding and hanging out. It's always my pleasure to ride with you ladies. I took so many pictures, I burned some disc and will distribute them on the Tues ride. See you ladies then.  This will open up some comments I'm sure. Great times were had by all for sure.
Thanks for capturing the moments Gene!! Special thanks to Donna and Steve for opening up their home and putting on a GREAT feast. I'm in next year!!

Thanks for all the photos, Gene! You got about three times as much riding in as we did since you kept going back and forth to take pics and search for strays! What a great time with a lot of great people!
