Default AZ Spring Fling Day 1

Day 1 we started off with Craig, Kippie, Dell, Steve and myself. We opted for the shuttle ride on Milagrosa and it didn't dissapoint. We were basically the last ones to get to the meeting place where we saw Jame's awesome shuttle bus/trailer. After our very expensive bikes got piled onto the trailer (my 6 Pack on the bottom) we were off to head up the mountain. James was certainly a character, funny guy. The ride had a bit more hike-a-bike and climbing that we expected but it still was a really technical and fun trail. Here are the pics from day 1: If anyone else who went wants to add their pics to the thread from each day feel free.....or if you want to make your own posts that's cool also.

Here is the shuttle bus getting loaded up with about 20 bikes.

The non tubeless/Stan's users quickly learned the pitfalls of running tubes out in the desert. Dell was lucky enough to be the 1st to flat within the first few miles.

This is the view from the top of the hike a bike.

The guys getting some food/gels

A gay pic of me.

View of the mountains in the background with snow.

Kippie attempting the first waterfall drop.

Another tubed flat victim, this time it was Steve.

Craig and a few other guys taking a rest near the end of the ride. This was the section at the bottom of about a 2-3 mile section of really technical downhill singletrack.....a LOT of fun!

That's all for day 1.....day 2 coming next.

Default Milagrosa

What an awesome trail. As Rob said, even with the shuttle, there was plenty of climbing/hike-a-bike. Cactus was EVERYWHERE! Those that strayed off trail payed the price. The pictures do not do the ride or the scenery justice. What a great ride to start off the trip with! Note to self: Remember to bring a cooler on the shuttle bus with post-ride coldies. It sucked waiting over an hour for the slackers to finish up.

Here's a few more pics:
#1 Our group up top.
#2 Sweet singletrack
#3 Dell making a hairy drop-in look easy. More than a few on this ride walked this one.

Good pics. To bad we didn't get to do Tucson or Sedona with you guys.

Hey Outlaw did you see they went on to Sedona on Saturday and rode? Looked pretty darn good to me. Some say it rained and others say it didn't. I guess it depended where you were at.

I like my Minolta G500 but in cloudy conditions quality suffers.
Personally, I think Rob's sony has produced the best results consistantly.
