Default taco Tuesday NON SLACKER ride

That's right you'll a bunch o' slackers that passed on ride today.

Great weather, great conditions, great peeps to ride with and what you sat at home to watch the Laker game. wtf.

Kidding aside you missed a fun one. Get to usual meeting location to find The King himself...Mr. Sar Boats. As we're kitting up we see an empty lot and it starts to look like we are the only ones to ride so with plans to hit Peters alone the bat phone rings and Boats answers to hear no we are not alone but Mtnbikerfred and his posse are meeting us at trailhead.

Quick ride to parking lot and rest of gang shows (Fred must have some serious rap cuz he's got 3 fine ladies as riding partners).

Anyway, it also appears Fred has forgotten his helmet (but has his elbow guards). He suggests minimal additional damage can ensue to his melon, (appears to be stong consensus) so we're off and riding.

Pretty uneventful ride around the lake. Hit the short steeps and the fast ST down. After a bit of holding back Bailey let's loose and kills the down and made mom and her pops proud (as well as the peanut gallery).

At the junction the girls decide they want to take a casual ride and the fellas with their Long travel (Kona's) between their legs hit Big Red and the ridge. Fred and Chris make it to the top while this out of shape misfit and his 40+lbs of stinky love get ~2/3 up and abort for the walk of shame

The ridge rollers were fast and fun as always and we're heading back down the ST through the trees. Just as we get to the ST we have a Switchback crew sighting and say quick hi's as they ride past.

Now its us heading down the fun twisty ST (note - for those in the know we encountered a certain "downed" hiker/runner who was in teh middle of the trail and a bit unaware of riders coming towards her again with her ipod on..i'll leave it at that).

Anyway after the down it's the last part of ride back to the ranch and we hook up with the gang in the parking lot.

Seeing everyone was heading back towards the freeway we moved post ride fesivities to Taco Mesa where Fred and the gang conveniently tell us AFTER dinner that was a $1 taco especial...thanks bro...glad i got the $2MM burrito...got your back next ride

Anyway on to the pics and hope the see the regular crew back at it next week

P.s only because i am afraid it may be brought up, yes there was a "kid" riding in the lot in his sandals after the ride who has yet to dial-in his no footer stoppie. OTB baby..cuz that how the kid rolls (or is that falls)

I knew I should have said something when I saw the STR jersey....

I passed the 3 of you just past the toilets near the lower dam. I was riding a red hardtail and wearing an orange shirt and I have a beard. One of you turned around and saw me & asked the group to let me by.

while $150 is a big number I still think in ro-sham-bo 6" of travel beats 24' of cargo. Beside what you pulling in that truck something like 10,000 marbles. your new delta ki name is Shu Skat Skidadal
