Being over 100º at the top we cut it short and went down the Wood Canyon trail.

A beautiful day in the Santa Monicas!

PCH was in full gridlock at 5:00 when we left. To get back we took Dekker road over the mountain to Thousand Oaks and up the 23 to the 118 and home on the 210. It only took 45 minutes!

We locals were out earlier and finishing by 11AM. We enter from the 101 side. No problem with parking.

PCH is no place to be on the weekend.

Hey! We were out there TWICE this weekend. Entered from the PCH side. I think we went UP wood canyon? First time there, a good newbie ride and we enjoyed it. We must have tried overlook going the wrong way, because it was STEEP and we had to walk. We have no idea what's what so we were mostly exploring. Fun times, plan to go back for sure.

EDIT: Looks like we stumbled onto "Hell Hill" ... sure lives up to its name.

how many sycamores are there? i know of 3: riverside, sd, and ^^^

Point Magu in Ventura county just north of Malibu! Beautiful park!! Everyone should go once!

... But, anybody who has not made the trip up there is missing out on a Cali gem! I know all you folks are OC'ed up... but WOW! Malibu is the Cali-est! Fresh air & fresh trails! Great vibe out there. Thanks for the great pix Doug, whoever you are! Photos cannot capture the beauty of this place! Oh, wait....

If anyone wants to hit Sycamore during the weekdays or weekends, give a shout. I can ride anytime, just need to be done before 2pm. It's right in my backyard and I know the loops very well out there and then some. We ride more ST than fireroad out there, you just need to know how to put the loop together.
