Yep.
This SS Tandem thing is taking a few shakedown cruises to get right.

I can tell you that it is apparent that most of the components out there were not built for 2 dudes pushing a SS gear!!

At Fully Loop we ran a 53x24 and basically skipped the cog every time we jumped on it.
Yesterday we ran 50x24 at El Moro and ended up walking half of I Think I Can.
Today we ran 41x25 and it felt sweet until half way up Cholla. We were actually makin' it but it seems the frame is flexing and the chain rolls very nicely off the outside of the drive chainring.

We will work on that and hopefuly next week we will be dialed in

Sorry to have missed the pre and post ride festivities but I had to do one half of Mothers' day this afternoon.

Great ride today, sorry it wasn't a little more organized but it seemed to work out pretty well. It was great to meet some new people, thank you to everyone who came out and made it a great ride.

By far one of the best newbie friendly ride i've been, lots of cool people, and great to see famliliar, old and new faces.
I just realized the ride is "Newbie Friendly Ride" and not "Newbie Ride", as some section were too much for a newbie rider but not scary though. So next time, i'll read the fine print.


The Trail In My Own Words
One of the best!!! the trail is so much fun and challenging and the views are spectacular and the climbs are very doable but just a little painful, yes just a little. Definitely, you'll see me again when there's an Aliso Ride. All


A great turn out and i almost got lost so thanks to Fred for the direction. And 1FGrider, for taking the time to take pictures, and the sweepers Fred and Pato for making sure everyone make it safe and sound back to the parking lot. To all the STR rider who joined the ride today at Aliso, thank you for making this one of the best newbie rides.

i passed capt greg climbing up to TOTW by himself and didnt see hovermd and then later i saw both of them on it

Hanzo and I were meeting up with TKblazer around the same time as the Newbie ride. I don't venture here much so some trails were new to me. First up was 5 Oaks but on the way we met up with Guero and Godfather.
Off we go down to 5 Oaks.

I took a spill down 5 Oaks. Luckily the bushes cushioned my fall. I know using too much brake = less control. Still grabbed a handful. Still ate crap.
