RR: Fruita: Day 4: Western Rim
What started off as less than an optimal ride with lots of sandy wash riding turned into an in-F-ing-credible epic Gene and I would recommend over almost any other Fruita ride. The trails consisted of slickrock, technical sections, flowing singletrack and INCREDIBLE cliff-side views. This is a MUST-DO ride. Almost 20 miles and about 1700 feet of climbing.

Thats the only trail I have ridden in Fruita. So close to Moab. Thanks for the pics, I will definitely ride there again.

My company actually has an opening in Rangely, which is 90 miles from Fruita.
The opening is for a position that I am actually doing right now at our plant in El Segundo. If my kids weren't school age I'd be all over it! Thanks for the pics, keep 'em coming!

LPQ Night Tour Guide

Last week our group saw a brand new construction 2 story home w/ garage w/ 1 acre on 18 mile road about 4 mi from the trail head. Never lived in, roof shingles are already getting blown off, a couple of windows already broken. I'm sure you could pick it up pretty cheap. That area isn't immune to foreclosures and excess inventory either.

Here's my share of pics. I tell ya, like John mentioned, we were wondering if we made a good choice of trail to ride at first, but after we reached the "Rim", that all changed. I would highly recommend anyone who comes out to Fruita do this ride! The views were spectacular and the trails are A-1.
Fruitaday4_1.jpg The ride in on Trail #2 takes to towards the Western Rim. It a gradual climb on a sandy ATV trail. The Western Rim offers some of the most breathe taking views I've seen so far on this trip. The trails is pure singletack with slickrock areas, twist and turns. Can't ask for anything more than that.
