Next week im going to be in Palm Springs for work and i want to know if theres any one on here that lives/rides there to show me some trails. im not sure what time i'd be able to ride, but im thinking late afternoon/early evening. if this sounds cool and would like to have someone else come on your weekly/after work rides please chime in and let me know!

thanks and hope to see you out there!

Check with the guys at Palm Springs cyclery. Really good group o guys there and they will probably be willing to ride with you. Other wise, check out www.mountainbikebill.com. He has good ride descriptions and how to get there. The goat trails behind Vons on hwy 111 are a fun ride.

Whatever you do, bring plenty of water.Even afternoon/evening rides are blazing hot there this time of year.

Find out if a 4" bike is going to be enough for any trail before you take that Superlite out in the desert. Some of the stuff out there is technical and may require more travel in the suspension department.

Default Hey

I didn't know you lived in Indio / palm springs area.
It is about to start getting hot out there. last year we went out there and rode some trail up there that was fun. The palm springs cyclery guys told me about it.
We might go out that way again its not that far.

Sean, just be careful... it's a desert out there, lots of rocks popping up. You have low BB height for the pedals t whack rocks with and 4" front and rear. Ride safe, ride smart, realize this isn't buff single track like up at Soquel, it's got plenty of rough stuff that is in no way XC rated.

Get some Stans or Slimed tubes if you don't want flats.

As mentioned above, it will be hot. At least 90+ this time of year. Take lots of water and tubes
