Our decision to stay off of the bikes Sunday was quickly changed by the thought of riding Huntington Beach Boardwalk on a busy afternoon! My 3 oldest sons live right near the jetty, and I keep my beautiful Specialized HardRock there, for times like these... We visited the boys for a bit then started off on our excellent adventure. Now I realize that this is NOT a mountain bike ride, but we managed to log in over 10 miles.. we saw a hillbilly convention, a volleyball competition, drum circle, HB cop photo op, giant bear sighting, locals lining up, boxing match, well the photos speak for themselves.................
Getting started DSC03877.jpg Hillbilly convention, lazy boys and all! DSC03878.jpg Volleyball tournament DSC03879.jpg Main Street Parade DSC03882.jpg Wonderful Mai Tais ! DSC03885.jpg Beth mutlitasking- drinking, chatting, eating! DSC03887.jpg The food was to die for! DSC03888.jpg Beth finds some new friends after lunch DSC03892.jpg Locals lining up at Sharkeez DSC03893.jpg Giant Bear sighting DSC03894.jpg Beth joins the Drum Circle DSC03900.jpg So I must do the same! DSC03901.jpg These two are wasted, but having a great time! DSC03905.jpg This guy tries to take Beth down, DSC03906.jpg But a quick roundhouse to the kidneys, DSC03907.jpg Brings him down into submission, Ahh, victory! DSC03908.jpg Warming up by a random fire DSC03909.jpg This almost turned in to a handlebar ride! DSC03910.jpg |

Great RR Brenda.
This wasn't a ride, this was an ADVENTURE. You can get an education on Main Street, HB My fav is the Beverly Hillbillies at the beach. Cool family, all the way from Jasper, Tennessee!

Great RR. Brenda you're getting good at this. Dino needs to get the boardwalk ride set up soon. A lot of fun can be had all over the HB/Newport/Corona Del Mar-ish area. Sometimes I'll ride for hours up and down that trail when I can't get to a mountain bike ride.

Loved this report. Thanks for the smiles! Another game I like to play is find the celebrity, it's amazing who you see when you really start to look!
