Default Trail Angel "After Photo" Ride
After the official Trail Angel group photo this morning Gene and I joined a 12 Trail Angels on a ride up to Hal's place and then through O'Neill. Well, unfortunately the ride had to be cut short when Grace fell and re-injured her injured shoulder. She ended up having to walk back down to Live Oak Canyon Road with a Jacke and Carrie helping her with her bike. Meanwhile Gene raced back to O'Neill and came back with his truck to save the damsel in distress.

After Grace was in the care of Gene - Jacke, Carrie, Vickie and I rode up to Vista and then did Vista singletrack followed by good times at Rose Canyon Cantina afterward with Gene and Grace. Thanks Jacke!

While some of the girls were attending to Grace after her crash some of us did an out and back called "Short but Sweet." On that section Vickie managed to crash/fall into a hidden hole about 8' deep which swallowed her and her bike. Thankfully she came out unscathed!

Looks like a fun time John, thanks for the pictures - especially Vickie deep in the hole Must have been a good laugh after you found out she was ok.

Hope Grace is ok and heals up fast!

Are you and Gene official Trail Angels now? Seems like you're on more of their rides then some of, or most of the other ladies.

No we are official trail males though! There are advantages to being on Trail Angel rides...if you know what I mean

I am the one in the market for an Angel...and Gene ends up on all the rides

I am going out and breaking some ribs....jealousy sucks Great RR everybody and sweet pics John.

Lucky guy.......you get to ride w/ all the angels. Thanks for sharing the pics.

On a side note........I pulled the trigger yesterday at The Path and will be a new owner of a Mach 5

Thanks John, Gene and Kristine for your efforts today with our photo shoot. Sorry to hear about the unfortunate ride events. But looks like the TA's had a good time anyway.

I'm very sorry to hear about Grace's fall from grace again... tell her to fall on the other side! I know she'll bounce back again.

Props to Vicki... she looks good on that SS.... and can only get faster. Looking forward to seeing the Angel's group picture.

First off, thank you SOOO much to John - taking the time to round up over 20 Trail Angels is hard enough, but to get them all to stop talking long enough to shoot a photo....practically inpossible!! Thanks to Kristine for being the Angel behind our photographer!! Hugs to you both!!!

Now seriously...this fun at "Vickie's" expense has got to stop....LOL we were laughing so hard they could barely pull me out of that dang hole and I kept thinking...."get me out of here" and they kept saying "where's the camera" .. ...That hole was freak'n DEEP!! I had dried brush - EVERYWHERE!!! YES, Everywhere!

Thanks for capturing the moment Johh, thanks too to my Trail Angel buds who pulled me out - after they could collect themselfs from the laughter (Deanna)! Love you guys!

Thanks Gregg! I will say, riding a SS is cerainly a different ride - you really have to put some strategy into how you are going to attach the hills - regardless of size!! And boy...the down hill technical stuff on a rigid...Yikes, I need to learn to ride again - it felt a bit squirrly.

Fun as always with the T/A's. I got a chance to see some I haven't seen in a while and meet some new girls as well. The ladies gathered and I took some pics as they mingled.







Here's John getting set up for the shoot and Roger just hanging out.



After the shoot, Jacke said a few words to the group.



Vickie was rocking her newly built SS and did well.


Afterwards we headed out for a mellow ride up to Hal's Place. It was a nice day to ride and I haven't been to Hal's Place before. I was riding behind Grace when she crashed. Her front tire washed out and she hit the dirt hard. Healing vibes goes to her. Here are the rest of the pics.
