Default Mini Aliso Tour

Thurs night at Hero's in Fullerton, Jessie(integradriv3r) wanted to do Aliso this weekend. He doesn't ride there much so I told him I'd ride with him and show him the trails.

I got there at 8:30 and it was already hot. Jessie finally showed up and after fixing his flat(again) we finally got rolling.

I started him off with a climb up Meadows. Being young and free spirited, Jessie went drinking the night before and he quickly learned that it was a mistake to show up late and hung over. But I had mercy on him and didn't push the pace.

Here's Jessie Climbing Meadows.

Next we headed to Lynx where we had an STR sighting. We ran into Craig and Margo(CalEpic and mscalepic) on their way to the Top of the World. Nice to see you two.

Jessie heading down Lynx which is where he crashed during the Halloween ride. No problem this time.

We then headed to Cholla and after a short break we headed up.

Jessie has never been down Rock It and I told him he was in for treat. No "P" line here.

Next was Coyote where things are really overgrown but not as bad as some other areas.

We had another STR sighting. Here is Benny as she was heading towards Rock It.

Jessie on the little steep up.

Heading towards Dripping Cave.

Then 2 more STR sightings. Here is Jeff aka Hoosierdaddy and Troy aka Trizz.

After helping out another STR member with a flat, we decided to cut it short and call it a day. Jessie's cousin was having a BBQ nearby so we went. I was starving so it really hit the spot. Thanks for the grub and brews.

You did well Jessie. Next time, no mercy and we will do my version of the Tour De Aliso.

Gene, dude, right before we ran into you and Jesse i Swear i was just telling jeff that you told me if you can climb meadows twice in a row that i have a chance of climbing Holy Jim,

Anyways, Jeff gave me the tour of Aliso today as well, I cannot remember all the trails but what i do remeber is is Links, Meadows, Staircase (which is insane) and i didnt eat shit doing it. something like 5-0 from the top of the water tower, top of the world and some other stuff, i must say it was really hot today and a big thanks to Hoosurdaddy or Jeff for showing me the trails, it was a great ride with some awsome technical sections.

The route we did was... started @ MILF Park down Five Oaks, then up Cholla, then down Linx and back to Cholla. From there we hit StairSteps, then back up, then down Rock It to Mathis. Up Mathis to Top Of The World. From there we went down Meadows and back to MILF Park.

Weather was great, and ran into a lot of my non STR Bubbs.

Great RR, Gene! I love all the excellent pics.

Yes, it's a lot easier getting down Lynx if you're not drinking at the top first (Halloween). What a great ride. Great job, Jesse! Maybe someday I'll climb Meadows like the big boys...

I keep telling these guys they need to clip in if they are ever going to be really efficient XC riders. Jessie is a true believer now. Wait till I take to the Pain Divide.
