I mean this in a loving way, but all you who are going to Moab/Fruita this weekend, well, you suck

(j/k of course since I'm super envious)

Is the section in pink where the speakers playing Celine will be added? I figured that was the case, you know, being in pink and all.

Well, yes, if mtbcat will give up her CD collection. The Bose system is solar powered and uses soy-based resins in the hemperglas rock enclosures.

Questions? email SDMBA’s “Los Penasquitos Guy”, Mike Maio at 8x8-792-7600 or post here............................................. ok I have a few questions. anybody feel free to give your opinion. first what is wrong with the flow of the trail now ?.is the park concerned about horses having a hard time negotiating the existing trail. we have yet to see a horse not want to use the existing trail. if so will there be a horse path and a hiking & bike path. If erosion is a problem maybe have another trail that switch backs to the bottom . and also keep the existing trail open. in my opinion the trail is loose from mtbs and horses . having another option could help. could reworking "sanitizing" the existing trail. without the help of winter rains lead to a worse trail ?. all of the mtbs and horse people we know love the trail the way it is. what do you think? mtbcat.

If you're referring to the flow of traffic, ie riders, then "what's wrong" is that we've been steadily moving the edge of the trail south to get away from the ruts formed by rain/runoff. The line you ride now is about 4' south of the old edge of the trail.

If you're referring to the flow of water, then "what's wrong" is that water is concentrated in a series of ruts that arose several years ago and is both cutting them deeper, overfills the drains and nicks cut in to accomodate runoff and had filled the overflow for the duck pond with silt.

Yes.

Wrong.

If you mean a horse/hike and a bike/hike, like there is now, yes. If you mean to ask whether the trail we're working on will be split into two, no.

Half of that is a great idea and was the first option chosen. Unfortunately, the Rangers have indicated that the combination of the Least Tern nesting season that's currently in progress and the requirement that new trails be processed through CEQA mean they will not permit, or be permitted to re-route this trail as some had brilliantly suggested. So, since erosion is a problem and we are tasked with addressing it within the existing corridor, you get the second option: keep the existing trail open.

How many horses have you seen riding this trail? Do you see many? Do you find the trail to be loose, or just dusty? What options do you propose? We'll do each and every one that you make happen. No pressure, but it's all on you.

Yes, it could. What will you do to ensure that doesn't happen? The work will take place. Will you make sure it meets your standards? You are welcome to school all those that need it, I assure you.

Default need rain.

"How many horses have you seen riding this trail? Do you see many? Do you find the trail to be loose, or just dusty? What options do you propose? We'll do each and every one that you make happen. I propose leave this trail as is ...there are obstacles in life ie road ,trail .... horses , mtbs , and hikers very in what they like, see in a trail. if you don't like it get off your bike, horse and either walk or choose a different route. such as people should not climb mt everest without proper knowledge.

It seems that the current trail is unsustainable. It cannot be left the way it is.

STR,

If there is a good size head count and your done sooner than expected. Will you also consider repairing another trail near by? Let's say Cobbles 3 straight ahead as if you've just completed the steps then go straight before turning L. or R on Cobbles 1? Someone once told me it's called Basil Hill years back.

Bob

Default A big thanks!!

Just wanted to give some major props to Pro Built Wheels for hosting the after party BBQ and for providing the best raffle items. The grand prize (after most of us won GU and chain lube) was like a 6 or 7 day stay on the Hawaiian island of your choice. Way to go Sara! BTW, I still think I should have been able to win twice; two waivers = two entries.

I also had the chance to take a spin around LPQ with the "Thoroughbred Club" (Mike, John, Sara and others). These guys are no joke. Sorry, no pics, too busy keeping up. We rode some really cool out of the way trails and finished by coming down the "new" Sh!t$ trail.

Great day and met some really cool new people to ride with.
