Default Aliso/LCWP/El Moro with lots of action pics!

We can't get enough of this loop, but this time we went into El Moro for an extra credit loop. It was Dino (blue SC Heckler), Ladd Jasper (blue Ventana X-5), Matt (grey Intense Tracer) and myself (grey 6 Pack). We spent at least a half hour at the lower rock roll/huck area on T&A. I finally got up the sack to do the biggest rock huck and Ladd/Dino followed. Ladd "Dale" was having fun on his X-5 since it was his 1st ride on this loop with his new bike. We had a lot of fun and here are the pics:

Ladd coming down Stairsteps

Dino on steps

Matt cleaned steps this time w/no crashes!

Matt on his 1st ever attempt on the rock roll

Matt shortly after that attempt

Dino on the rock roll

Dino on the rock huck

Ladd's first huck on his X-5

Ladd "Dale" Jasper shortly after that huck

Me on the huck take off

Me about to land

Then when everyone was about to leave, I had to do the big rock huck.....me scoping out the take off

Then I sacked it up and went for it after a few minutes

Then Ladd "Dale" Jasper followed

Then Dino had to do it

A few more pics of us on the same huck

Awesome ride today guys. It felt great to be back on the bike after not riding for two weeks! I just woke up from a little nap, I was pretty beat after this ride. I'm glad Rob and Dale both had the balls to hit the 4.5foot rock huck before I did. We all kept saying "1 more" and ended up hitting it at least 4 more times each. Kippie charged the Rock Roll without hesitation and did great then said hello to the bushes after cleaning the rock. Rob, Dale and myself also had our share of bush impalements after landing the rock huck. If you have never seen this area, the run out after you land is only about 10-15 yards long, luckily there isn't any cactus, so, if you need the bushes to assist you with stopping you don't have to worry about getting poked. We also did Fenceline & Missing Link the opposite ways, this was a first for all of us. The trail still flowed just as nice as it does when we go the other way.

Wahoo's was great too!

Awesome ride today!! Glad I chose this over a long "training ride". But I do need to train for the downhills right?? Ive built up soo much confidence on these trails Now that I can 'roll' I wana try 'hucking' next time. Good job to the other boyz for hitting the 4.5 foot huck.

Last time we were here, some others guys were entertaining us with the hucks, now according to those 3 other bikers we entertained them! hehe

Another great ride, guys. Got in a bit of everything today: fireroad, singletrack, technical descents, 4½' hucks, etc. The new bike took 'em all in stride, and really surpassed my expectations. Couldn't be happier with it.

Was good to see everyone sack up in one way or another. Very cool. Nice camerawork, btw--looks like I have that new avatar!

And Wahoo's...damn fine establishment.

CalEpic and bananaseat: missed you out there, was a perfect day to ride. Hope you got out in it, wherever you were.

Tex: get those bars dialed? Really should pick up one of them new-fangled non-adjustable types!

Nice work guys. I had to work or I would have been there with you. I need to try that drop with the short run-out on T&A. I'm jealous. Great to see the new rig is treating you well Ladd.

Rob - I can ride early mornings Tues-Fri. PM me if you're going.

I'm sure we'll do it again soon enough so you can do the huck then Craig. The take off is nice and smooth.

I'll ride either Wed. or Thurs. morning, I'll PM you the day before.

Man that sure did look like a good ride! Maybe next time!

It was probably for the better that I missed it as my first hour of riding was filled with obsessive micro-adjusting! But Dino shot-down my other excuse of not riding for the last 2 weeks.

It think it was all worth it as my wider riser bar (lowered just a tad from the original position) returned much of the stability that I had sacrificed for better turning.

I had to adjust my grips and valve stem cap in the morning before the ride, luckily the adjustments didn't affect my riding in a negative way.

(just giving lance some sh*t)

Micro-adjustments on your valve stem caps are critical when doing hucks

sorry Lance

Default Nice photos and way to sack up

I haven't done the hucks at the bottom of T&A yet, couldn't get the nerve up after my buddy crashed on the rock roll. Maybe next time, thanks for the inspiration. The drop at the top of T&A is actually pretty easy. It's just scarry cause it's steep and loose.

I second that! Work has got me by the short & curlies but if I don't get out for ONE of these days this weekend I'm likely to go crazy!

Nothing like a little oppression by the system to bring you down...
