mind over matter my friends. I doubt that those are that hard to hit if you're moving along at a good clip. its just a matter of doing it. I remember there were a few doubles at our local DJ spot that I thought I'd never be able to hit, but by the end of the day, i decided i might as well hit it, and they were easy.

For this kind of thing, though, I think a table would probably be better, since it would allow people to work their way up to clearing the whole thing. if they come up short, its just a harder landing on flat. then again, the table takes some of the thrill out of the jump, so who knows.

Agreed but my air control isn't quite as good as I'd like for such a big gapper...

Don't you hippies have bigger fish to fry? Probably not...I'll bet you're Vegan.

If you live in a house...something was destroyed to put it there.

If you drive on a paved road...something was destroyed to put it there.

...should I continue?! This dude is making piles of dirt and he gets a firing squad. I sure hope anyone who has a problem with this park is a Hybrid-driving vegetarian environmentalist, otherwise you're a little bit of a hypocrite.

Nothin' but love!
So unless you're a hippy vegan who walks everywhere and lives in a tent you're not allowed to voice your opinion on wildlife habitat destruction?
Firing squad? Hardly. Concern that if State Fish and Game hears about an endangered plant being plowed over the whole think could get shut down? Yes.

Check your diction, you never know who you might piss off.

I think you misunderstood the post about the enviromental impact reports. All that was implied was that if they did not get them done then the trails could be shut down and someone would have hell to pay.

I know a certain individual that built a MX and a Supercross track on his own private property. Turned out he was supposed to get a conditional use permit and a grading permit. $1400 for the grading permit and $5300 for the conditional use permit!

I am sure that they know the law and are following the rules and it is gonna be a great park and an inspiration for more just like it!

Jeebers. Leave it to some STR peeps to turn a kick ass thread into a political debate thread about right, wrong, illegal, sanctioned, plants, goats or whatever. Everybody should just be super stoked about having a legal bike park in Socal and take the whining and b*tching to Pinkbike (no offense to pinkbike).

Nail on the head.

You whining weenies! It's DIRT. Get a grip. I mean, never mind displacing cougars, deer, coyote, rabbits, etc. with ever-increasing development and seeing their flat furry corpses all over roads and highways in south OC.

I guess I'm not a plant lover. But that fact is, I've searched my inner self and I've come to the conclusion that I really don't care about said plant one way or the other. Let's hit some jumps.

Exactly. And it took less than 10 posts for it to go veering into the weeds. This is GOOD NEWS so I won't nitpick.

Anyways, there is a little more info in this thread STR - SoCal Bike Park

Perhaps we could have the threads merged?

This is awesome! Now all we need is something like this in L.A. County! Someone should do something about that!
