Smile Sycamore Canyon Poway Social
Pictures to follow courtesy dirty boo and bajatonsilitis...

It was a beautiful morning in Sycamore Canyon -- you know, the one in Poway. If anything, it was a bit chilly. But we got going around 8:20 or so and quickly warmed up with Martha's.

We bombed down what we could, and walked what we couldn't. Then we hit the open trail roller coasting down to Santee.

This being a social ride and all, we hung out by the dirt jumps while a few caught a little air. Bjammin had a really cool front-shock landing that got us all a little excited. Being the true fashion guy of the group, he showed up fashionably late, in a fashionable vintage jersey, and left fashionably early.

The rest of us mozied our way back through the lush vegetation, and ample stink beetles to run over (thanks emfc).

We hit quite a bit of water in the crossings. It would have been a perfect opportunity for Sniffer to do some submarine work, but I guess we're just not as cool as those OC peeps.

The trail was almost all packed well. None of the sloshy stuff that Sycamore often has.

Beautiful day! Great ride! Good peeps! Let's do it again soon!

Well, here are some pics of today's ride...hubby RHSloth & I had a good time and it was great meeting all of ya!

Since Sloth has my bike dialed in I had a fantastic time navigating the switchbacks & those squirrel-lee rocks - sorry about that one rock Janice!

I just picked up a new camera last night & still need to learn all the settings...some of the pics didn't come out as they would have if I brought the Canon Rebel XT...
gotta read that manual...

Great group of riders and superfun ride! The guys from South SD really represented (thanks for taking pics, Boo). Good job once again, Brian, for organizing the ride.

But can someone tell me what's going on in this picture?

Actually that shows that us Chula Vista riders are nice people, I was hugging eld00der the entire ride, he calls me Bajafresh for a reason

Thanks for the early start time guys... sorry I was a loser with being late and having to leave early. I ended up being late to work after all! - even with the near vomit inducing super sprint all the way back to the car.

The jersey is sweet...you can borrow it for the next ride Dooder.
p.s. you need to wear special glasses to see what it really looks like.

Thanks Brian for your help with my pictures and for setting up the ride, I had a great time meeting all of you and riding again with some of you also, I was very tired at the last climb back to the car but it was worth the the drive.
