Default South Mountain Arizona

I did a last minute trip to Arizona over the weekend to see some friends and fortunately I was able to borrow a bike and ride.

We rode South Mountain in Tempe. *Not sure what to expect riding in the desert but it turned out to be awesome. *Starting at the Main Trailhead we rode the NATIONAL trail and did the MORMON loop. * Mileage was around 12 but it felt like 20. *Heres some pictures....

I also must admit there is lots of scenery on the trails... and I dont mean cactus

That last shot is beautiful! That drop doesn't looks that menacing but then again nothing photos ever looks as crazy as it does in real life. Watch out for the cactus!

And you though that if you went to Arizona State that the riding might not be good. Told ya...Dean

Believe it or not people ride waterfall, some use the rock pile ridge on the left. I had a video of someone cleaning waterfall on a fully rigid. There is stuff in that area that is more techincal.

Arizona has great riding and you stiil have Sedona and Flagstaff to explore.

Hopefully I will be back in Arizona in the next week or two.

Along the MORMON trail there was a section with multiple drops, ranging from 5 to 15 feet! no joke! I would love to watch guys huck that! I should of stoped and took pictures.
Have fun in AZ Dean, and take pics!!

So when is the STR's trip to Arizona again???

Awesome pics. Thanks for sharing.

FYI, if you're visiting the Tempe/Phoenix Area, you can always get a rental from Titus bikes. They're only a few miles from South Mountain and encourage people to try their bikes out.

Nice pics of Sedona. My wife and I go there every year over spring break. We love it. We ended up there overnight this past July. I rode the Cathedral Rock trail at midnight and it was 104°. It was pretty crazy.
