Trail PIMP.....
|
So sam (brewmaster) and I roll out from mi casa at o8:30.. meet everyone at the bank of america.
We met up with walter, Andy (onlyontwo) and his wife candice, and dan (konadupee). As this was only our second time at the park... they took us through all the fun spots. Only one flat the entire ride... we also played around in what is called 'mini - moab' and did some ''F U N'' rock rides and all kinds of stuff. Did a massive NUTslam into my seat on a rock wall transition... but i am confident i will have kids still LOL. Everyone had a great time... 12+ miles, and 1800 feet of climbing = a nice easy ride. Thanks for the beer afterward!!! Sam and Dan took some photos... im sure they will add them here

Great ride today. Thanks to Andy and Candace for leading us through their local stomping grounds. We will definitely be riding with them more, they're great people. Also, with Sycamore and Box Springs so close, there are a ton more trails I need to explore.
Our group was the perfect size, 6 people. It was fun getting to know Walter, Andy, Candace and Dan along the way. Sycamore gave us lots of singletrack and rocks to play on. I really like this park and it's nice that it's so close! I'd rather be climbing...

Good times had by all! Sycamore's a blast that will definitely be calling my name again soon. It's one of those areas where fully rigid SSing vs. geared full squish really can make the same trail feel like an entirely different sport.
Thanks a bunch to Andy & his beautiful wife Candance for leading. Sam, as always was the photographer stud. Walter, sorry for running you off the trail! But Aaron really was the stud of the day. The man has stones; that's all I'm gonna say. Some pics...

Hi, I know there's several Sycamore Canyons....I've ridden the SD one, but not this in Riverside or the one in Ventura County with Backbone. I haven't found any good maps of this one. I think this video is the same place -- is it?
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...93294888107061 It looks like a pretty big area. Is it an actual park with named trails etc, or just undeveloped land with trails? Can you direct me to a link? I promise not to bring hordes of rude out-of-towners to upset the locals! |
