RR: Blackstar wildlife 3/26/08
Great solo lunch ride up Blackstar today...a bit hazy but still plenty warm. Saw no other riders beyond the parking lot...but stopped for 5 snakes!
This red diamondback was a beaut...and wow do these suckers get big. Lots of gopher snakes out, countless lizards, butterflies, and of course wildflowers. What a glorious time of year to ride!

I rode solo on Thursday kept my eyes open for snakes, but saw none....which is fine for me on a solo ride. thnx for sharing the photos

Wow! That Red Diamondback is a beauty! I used to catch rattlers when I was a kid... that Red is a keeper.
