Default Thanks to the guy on the Rigid WUSS

To Calvin(?) on the white Bianchi Rigid WUSS who helped me out at Peter's Canyon today by letting me borrow his pump. What was a fun day of commuting to work by bike, chasing roadies, and than riding up to Peter's to do a loop could have turned ugly if I had to walk it home.

Ayyya, long story short, I had a slow leak that Stan's wasn't sealing, and I wasted my only C02 trying to re-inflate it. Guess I'll always carry a pump now.

Anyhow, if you read this man, Thanks again for stopping and letting me use your pump.

Carl

There is very little TWO 16g Co2 carts and a spare tube can't fix.

Just the same, I love the fact that the average MTB rider will stop, but the average EVERYTHING won't stop.

Dude I know. I had 2 cartridges, but didn't realize one was already spent. I had a tube just no way to inflate it.

A few others guys asked but at that point I didn't realize I was out of cartridges yet.

Calvin is a great guy and an amazingly fast rider. I don't think he has time for the forum because he rides and runs to much. He ran the Vision Quest a couple of years ago and I hear one year after finishing he put his bike down and ran the last loop just for fun.

Yup. I flatted on my road bike and my pump seals were trashed unbeknownst to me. I lost count of how many people passed me before someone asked if I had everything; he stopped and let me use his pump. I'm not bashing since I ride 50% road and 50% MTB, but MTB'ers stop because being stuck in the back country is dangerous. Dunno why roadies don't stop; I do.

Yep, Calvin is an alien. No human can ride and run like he does. Plus he's such a friendly guy.
