Trail PIMP.....
|
The FKK (Fat Kid Krue.... for you newbs) invaded sycamore canyon tonight. The 3 head fatty's (Brewmaster, Rockinthecasbah, and CHEWyeti himself) went to explore the unexplored to us. Rick had been there before... but its way different in the dark.
Started with a nice easy climb, just farting around on a nice pace. got dark... couple stream crossings, couple frogs/snakes/rats/owls wild life to be seen and heard.... getting lost toward the southeast side of the park..... altogether a great time. The boys and I inhaled some cake at the finish line... (after crashing through someones backyard!!!! told you we got lost!!!!) all in all. way fun. 10 miles, 1600 feet of climbing... = a nice easy ride. we found our new fully.

Yeah, I went there when I first started mountain biking and I got so very lost. I ended up at that Mobil gas station and just called my wife to come and get me. Still took over a half hour of driving around before I found the B of A and where I'd left my car.

I'll post some pics tomorrow, but it was good times all around. I broke my light mount just going down a hill hard. Electrical tape is my friend.
The best part was Ricky leading us down a single track and all of a sudden we drop onto someone's back yard lawn. Dogs are barking like crazy all over the complex and we are riding though yards. I couldn't contain my laughter, especially as we were hiking down a flight of stairs with people looking at us like we were crazy. I do have to say I have the most awesome wife in the world who made us PB & Js and packed homemade cake for us to eat afterwards with our beer. Linda, you rock!

That's my backyard. Well, nearly. Post it up next time and I might be able to join you. I live across the street from the complex you cruised through. I'd love to repay Brewmaster's generosity with some of my own.
Team Dirty Work rides in that area most Tuesday and Thursday nights, starting at 6am if you want some friendly guides to show you around. http://www.teamdirtywork.com/ Glad you had fun. ~Reed |

We knew it would be an interesting ride when Chewi shows up with a Cialis bag. They make a pill for everything, except mountain biking...

ok.. the story on the cialis bag...
my sister is a pharmaceutical rep for them, and gets all this free stuff. its very HARD to give away. And man, it used to be so HARD to carry all my bike stuff, but this bag makes me feel like i can carry it all for 36 hours. Anything longer than that and i would have to call a physician. so yeah free bag, hard to say no LOL
