This is my first RR. Time to pay back STR for all the photos you've shared with me and my browser. Don't make fun of my 8lb seat! I love that thing.
I went to El Moro once this last Summer and hated it. It was just so dry and brown. Well, a few of us went back this Friday and loved it. The green is what makes this scene. I suggest getting a ride in before it all goes away. I felt like I was in another part of the state for the entire time. I know that the idea is to ride, but for me, it's a great day when you're motivated to get off your bike and take it all in. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() p.s. We're obviously not the hucking crowd - just some people that love to get outside on our bikes. |

I was at El Moro Sunday, too. I love it when it's green!! But, BVD needs to see some more action--some parts of that trail are so overgrown with grassy stuff that you actually can't see the trail (makes for a fun ride)

I was there Sunday too - For any of you that are dropping BVD and continuing down the Emerald Falls singletrack - beware the hanging branches deep in the canyon!
Climbing is much slower than decending and I had ample opportunity to realize that many of the branches were nasty poison oak.... I'd give this trail about one more week until it's too overgrown to ride. |
