Smile Trailwork at Aliso Woods - 3/15

A good group showed showed up at 8 am for the trail work. They even had donut holes to greet us (yum!) Most of us carpolled into the park on the upper section. We were slated to work a middle section of Rock-It. A large rut had developed over the past 2 years and needed fixing. That done, we cleaned up Lynx and Cholla. Some of us beat a hasty retreat to Andy's St. Pat's Day Ride while other went to lunch at Jeff B's house. All in all a good day.

Big thanks to those that showed up and gave a bit back to the trails.... they always need it! Here's some pics:

Thank You to all that did this!!!

I have a tendancy to "try" trail maintanence and end up with a ramp. So it's best for me to stay away from these. It's greatly appreciated that friends and family go out and take time from their day to "tune up" a trail and keep the enjoyable experiences reality.

Thanks guys for giving back!

I was going to be out there, but tweaked my back on Fri. Aliso needed some love, I look forward to enjoying the benefits of your labor.

I had fun learning from the masters about trail drainage and rut filling. It was actually worth giving up my saturday morning ride because I had fun just hangin with the group and giving back a little to the park that is a staple in my mountain biking diet.

P.S. I forgot to mention that four wheel driving in that sports mini van was great fun as well..... good times.

I happened to roll up to the group as they were finishing up on Rock-it. Good size crew and nice to see a lot of familiar faces pitching in. Sorry I couldn't spend the morning grooming the trail due to family obligations, but the trail it definitely a lot better. Be careful after the rock garden though, because that's where some changes are. Rocks and shrubs are now in places they didn't used to be.

Would have like to help but I have physical problems. Can't wait until I heal so I can get out there and check out your work.

I've never ridden there, but those pics are really tempting me. Great job guys, good karma points to all, and a nice looking trail to boot.

Come out when we do these and learn like others. There are plenty of experience people to learn from.

Glad you came out Gary. Always a pleasure to share some of the knowledge I've learned and pass it on.
