Post Noble Canyon

Just wanted to share a pic I snapped today during the ride. I love it up there.

The concise RR: very cold, lots of water crossings, tons of fun, challenging myself, upping the ante, getting chased by a snow storm.

I cleaned Widow Maker, Stairway to Hell, Roman Wall and Extra Credit. Thanks Aqua.

Definitely an awesome ride today--thanks for the idea Mark. I actually rocked the full face more for warmth than anything else. It was COLD!!

Looped BLT, then DH'd to the bottom. Ran into Steve/Aqua at the beginning of Stairway and was the lucky recipient of his expert coaching down Stairway and all the way down Extra Credit. Got to see him hit some amazing stuff, including his new "Razor's Edge/Psycho roller. I'd have to say the repeated sessioning down Extra Credit was the highlight of the day.

Tally for the day: Finally cleaned Widow Maker. Finally sacked up and hucked the log. Finally cleaned Stairway to Hell--thanks to Steve/Aqua's coaching. Cleaned all of Extra Credit, albeit in sections.

Hitting the log

Aqua's Razor's Edge/Psycho roll--the pic does it NO justice!!

Sorry...I really did only take a few. Here's one more of Aqua at the end of his Psycho Roller. The pic truly doesn't demonstrate anything about the razor's edge you have to conquer on this thing.

I took my wife for a melloow ride on Big Laguna Trail yesterday, one word: FREEZING! We had a fun ride and finished just ahead of the snow. We saw this by the campground..........

I'd be up for this too when you guys go back out. Sounds like a fun ride and maybe a good intro to Noble?

For sure. I'll drop you a line next time. I didn't think you'd be able to be gone that long, so I never mentioned it.

Thanks B. It would've been cool if you could've made it!! I am so glad to have the monkey that is Widow Maker off my back. I also never thought I'd clean Stairway that day. I figured I would someday, but never thought yesterday would be the day.

I also kind of think my Haro was more of a handicap than a bonus. All the extra weight really made me tired. I want to go back as soon as I get the new 36TALAS on the Yeti next week.

Here's one more of me finally doing Widow Maker:

Widow maker is an irritating bug on my butt too.
My head did not let me clean it last time and that's been the first time I haven't. Funny how things change. Trails and people!
Been 2 years since I was there and I hope to make it on the 23rd!

Hey, how's that jump holding up in the Alpine area? And, you got the chops to come give Vietnam a ride?
