Default SSpring is here!!

After a 7 day work week I finally got a day off. I woke up today excited like a little kid - I'm going riding!

I feel giddy. With a new playlist on my ipod, a beautiful day, and all the time I want, I was smiling even before I started. Short sleeves today, it's warm. Just the local trail (sullivan ridge to farmers to backbone) for today, nothing special..

Hello little SS, I have missed you.

I started riding, slowly remembering the rhythm of the SS. It's been over 5 months since I have ridden this bike. I only forget and reach for the shifter once. I take it nice and easy, and decide today will be a picture day. It's just gorgeous.

You know how sometimes an old trail reveals something new? I’ll be darned but I had never seen this old truck off the side of Sullivan ridge. I guess I am always just rushing past. Not today.

Flowers are blooming like crazy! I kept pulling over to take pictures.

Some guy on a bike passed me. After he passed he slowed down and looked back and tried to lure me into chase. Haha, not today, mister. The flowers are calling.

Lupin growing in razed area of Sullivan ridge.

I came down the trail and had to stop at this splash of orange. I love poppies!

Hawks play in the air over Farmers. Maybe if you squint.

Anticipation!

I felt lazy yet even with all my stops I am surprised to see how quickly my ride is unfolding. I have to remind myself to concentrate on the singletrack – I feel dreamy and spacey today. And I feel good.

Oh, I love my SS. I am sorry I neglected you.

Last time I was on backbone it was still a bit mucky. Its all dry now, and its so green!

Crazy daisies

It was over before I wanted it to be, but my stomach was telling me it was lunch time. So I rode back to the car.

Hope you enjoyed the photos. Happy spring everyone, and happy DST too!

Nice pictures! I rode it last SAT, And I was going to ride it again this morning, but ended up playing with my little boy in the Malibu park.
See you sometime on the trail!

It was great today. Saw one hiker, and one biker. Other than that all i saw were hawks and bunnies and like 1000 suicidal lizards who kept trying to run under my tires.

Nice ride report! I think I'll do the same route tomorrow after work. So nice to know that we can now fit in longer evening rides without lights.

You've inspired me to get the SS into rolling condition again.

Thumbs up Ahhhhh, little grasshopper

It's always nice when we slow down and "smell the roses"... I'm as guilty as the next guy when hammering down the trail... sign? what sign?...deer, where?, etc... sometimes we just have to slow down and listen to our heartbeat and see what we ride by all the time without noticing.... good RR!
