Default lafayette-moraga regional trial (3-7-08)

So this weekend I decided to drive up North and visit the grilfriend up in NorCal. She lives in Walnut Creek and goes to school at St. Mary's in Moraga. So on friday I rode from her place to meet her after she got out of class. 100% paved, with some single track options off the trail. About an 18 mile loop with about 500-600 feet of climbing. Not a bad little ride for some time to burn. She decided to ride the big bike and would regret that later on. enjoy!

Nice!

My in-laws live in Moraga, overlooking St. Marys (you can see the tower from their backyard...)

Next time you're up here, drop me a message and I'll take you guys for a tour at Joaquin Miller park, it's about 15 minutes from St. Marys..

Yup, great riding not that far away. As technical as you want it to be.

Joaquin Miller is the some of the only *legal* singletrack in the East Bay...

Ahhh, I feel like I'm back home - I grew up in Walnut Creek/Concord area (just a short drive to Lafayette and Moraga). Wish I did mountain biking when I lived there, I missed out on so much right in my own backyard that I didn't even know existed at the time!

Thanks for sharing the pics!

that's how i am too, grew up in the central valley, but visit often and now some of my neighbors ride and there are tons of trail around my area, but started mountain biking down here when I came to school with my roommate, so when I go home I will have to try some trails out.
