Default 2008 South Bay Death March (Picture Heavy)
So today was the day, the however many annual Death March in Bonita/Chula Vista/Otay River Valley/Otay Lakes/Otay Mt. and it was a great one. We had planned for 55.5 miles and ended up with right at 60. Yeah it was a long day, almost 12 hours total[including breaks(some planned, some not)], we had 26 riders at the start, I think we ended with something like 17-18. Great fun was had by all. It was awesome to have an experience like this with such a great group of people. Thanks to everyone who was there and I can't wait to do it again! Here my pics from today:

Still waiting on the GPS files, two of the guys had Garmin 305's, but I think both died during the ride, I am not sure how much got covered. As soon as I find out I will post it. Later.

Great RR & pics Darryl, oh man the stories we have.

Hoser thanks again for the Death March ride look forward to next year.

Awesome group of guys to ride with, I had a blast to say the least.

Since they both died, can I have one of the garmins? Oh, you meant the garmins died...ooops. Good job on the mileage to all, now that's a full day.

Thanks for sharing the flicks! Next time I will bring a camera as well so that you'll be in more of the photos. My GPS died at the 56-57 mile marker, so I think I got most of the ride. I'll send everyone the info tonight.

Damn that was this past weekend. I need to pay more attention to this ride, hopefully I can catch the next one.

I don't recognize the fire roads or that down hill section w/ the lone rider, where is that?
