What a great ride.
I was supposed to be somewhere else on Sunday, but ate (and drank) too much Saturday night. It was a lot easier to sleep in and do a local ride. I called a friend and asked if he was interested in riding San Clemente. He was, so we met at 10. He let me know there was a big'o group of riders ahead of us so the trails would be crowded. I soon discovered it was an STR "newbie" ride. The chase was on! It was great getting to meet some new faces and run into the gang out there. Thanks for the fun. We missed a few of you at Pizza-Port!!!

If you mean these (they are On-One Midge bars) Beers, not gears so there are no shifters. They were an absolute hoot to ride on that day since I could not see where I was going most of the time and by the time the turns came up, one was already quite comitted to a particular line ![]()

Hey guys here are some pics. Great riding with all you guys. I wish I could have brought more beers but ahh I only had room for two Stellas. I will tell you what that beer tasted soo damn good when that sun started to come out but I think I may have had a little too much because I was getting the knarley burps. For your viewing pleasure

Ah yes, there were a few gearies who wanted to shar e in the SS lovin'
I went thru a few sets until I settled on the Midge. There is something called a Gary bar which is similar to the Mary bar but there isn't any drop on them. Jury is still out on the drops. Love 'em at Aliso, and El Moro. Just not sure about the technical and blind) single tracks like we saw.
