I was surprised at how willing he was to do it. He was pulling people into the picture--very approachable.

Willie, good to see you & Jason out there today. We'll have to set up a SS tour de CHSP.

I can't say it enough, folks: CHSP was made for SSing!

Awesome to see you again out there aaron//chewy. Today was my first ride back after about 4 weeks of time off of the MTB. I work at jax and so i was helping to support the Gary Fisher ride (although i had no idea where we were going as I've never been up there before).

He was a lot of fun to ride with, and I was able to spend the entire first fireroad climb just shooting the breeze with him on a perfect day for riding.

The ride we did wasn't anything spectacular, we came along the fireroad that leads up to 4 corners, took a single track over to i guess southridge, and rode the rolling fireroad back. A decent workout made better by a pretty large group and the Fish himself.

Also, Stinkyrider did you recently bring that possum into Jax for service? if so I definitely saw it there. I always wanted that bike (until it was no longer available).

Hope to be back on the bike more often in the near future. peace.

Anyway, glad to see you guys had fun out there. It was a beautiful day to ride CHSP today - Raptor was crazy though with all that growth!!
Its like those vegetation are trying to pull your handlebar, and at the same time, and whipping your legs constantly.

My crash made a little part of raptor's ridge wider. Its a trailwork in disguise. ouch my shoulder.

But note also his "Cimbing is it's own reward" sig line, then you be the judge. This is a sick, sick man.

Dude, I love my Stinky but I'm not about to pedal a 45 lb Freeride bike around on an 18 mile XC ride.

We also had Tom Richey riding with us the last day of Dec for the recent Rwanda ride... and although these guys are mountain biking gods ... I've found them to be extremely friendly and approachable. There aren't many sports today that you can hang with the originators ... and the cool thing is that the bike continues to evolve.

Great ride today fellas. Lots of camaraderie and joking all day. This was the perfect size ride for CHSP. 8 riders of relatively equal fitness and skill. I had a great time cruising through the park with you guys.

Falling in that mud puddle just stunned me. It was so cold I couldn't move. I was covered in mud from the waste down. Nasty!

Next time I will make sure to have time for beers! But we did make it to the wedding on time, so all was good back at the ranch.

We will definitely do this again!

Then why did I have enough time to take a whiz, eat a Power Bar, change a tube, rebuild a wheel set & remove, clean, re-grease & re-install my bottom bracket at the top of some of those hills waiting for ya'll?

Actually, today was one of those rare treats when everyone is pretty evenly matched & the majority of the day was spent riding rather than waiting. Good times!

Nice RR and pics guys. I really would like to get out there someday. Maybe on a Sunday as all of the Sat this month are already full. I would love to ride some of the areas in those pics. All the areas are so green right now, absolutely beautiful. Bummer it won't last long.

Some of us are smart enough to ride with more than one gear so we don't have to hammer to the top of every hill.

Good times.

Gene, lemme know when you want to come out here and ride. My next few weekends are booked, but maybe we could swing something on a weekday afternoon or a later weekend.

No bug bites for me, but plenty of scratches from the brush.

Thankfully, no ticks either.

I need to tear down the drive train on my bike. There is a lot of mud in there from my swim...
