So we held a black market race up here in SLO over the weekend, and it was pretty epic. The trail is one of the gnarliest things i have seen in my life (and i didn't even walk the whole thing!). fearing for my life, i opted out of this one in favor of being an obnoxious photog

. Not that it mattered. i got slammed by a guy who missed a turn and got a nice tattoo from his rear brake rotor.

Looked like a fun race, I was trying to come up to race last weekend but my ride bailed. Could you pm me the schedule for the rest of the races?

Ahh, yes, Black Market races. My personal favorites were the ones down Madonna.

Is that the trail near the top of The Grade? I can't remember the name of it for the life of me, but I remember it being tough to even walk, let alone ride.

nope, no sponsors. the guy running it give out some cheesy prizes to the winners of the series, and thats about it.

The trail is Face, which was built by Richard Lancaster. The entrance is right off the top of shooters, and ends up a good bit down stage coach. Richard was actually was racing the trail that day (red intense w/red fork). Theres a movie that i just watched that had a helicopter shot of him hitting the trail, but i can't remember for the life of me...

Chainsmoke 2. Sweet vid. Funny thing about the video of Face trail is that it's out of sequence.

yah, chainsmoke would be the one. We were all laughing at the anachronism in that video. And thinking that we could make a MUCH better video of the trail. mehs.
