Then just to humble me more, the guy turned it up and hung on my wheel the rest of the way, smiling and chatting most of the time. It was equal part frustration and admiration for me, but I have to give the guy major props for doing something in his 70's that most don't in their 20's.

I used to work with Steve, and do some riding with him. He is awesome. He has looked exactly the same for the last 20 years, he used to "train us" on the road bike repeats up Newport Coast and Ridge route. He has an eastern European accent, and used to "act" very grumpy, but he actually a super nice guy and one tough SOB. I can still hear him when I would get tired and Down Shift to an easier gear...He would hear that shift, Whip his Head Around, Glare at Me and Sneer
..."What are you do-ink! Push Harder! IS that as fast as you can go!"...It was awesome...of course we all knew it was an act, but he was and is tough.

Also I love to ride El Moro I probably rode it 25-30 times last year, its so easy to get to and you can get a pretty good work out in 1.5 Hrs after work.
Pho'dUp, Waldo we should get and afternoon ride in after the time change.

Beside the normal geoladders routes I have about 18 other ones at

I'm 95% sure I'm going to be able to make it... kind of sore already from all the miles this week but whatever; I can't seem to get enough punishment. I've never ridden the Fully Loop, and I've never used my new light either so I'm kind of excited about it.
Hey doood I brought my bike with me today. I may go for a ride at the Fully loop after work. I work in Anaslime. What time were you thinking of riding? I don't know if I may ride the group ride tonight just because 1. I forgot my lights and 2. I need to get home kind of early tonight.

I really wanted to join the group as

A. I've never ridden the loop
B. I want to meet some STR people
C. I haven't done a night ride in over 7 years and as I remember LOTS of lights is better than just one or two.

Post up in the group ride thread you can find a light for sure! Well, that doesn't take care of the "need to get home kind of early"

Anyhow, the ride starts at 6:45 and that's where I'll be!
