Default RR: Noble 03/02 w/no pics...sorry

.....well, not yet, perhaps mcinvale will post the few that he clicked.

This really is one of my all time favorite trails. I've been wanting to get back here since the Tour de Noble that was in August (or sometime around there), but it seemed that every time I had a chance to go, nobody could show up. So today, I was going to go even if it was by myself. Not the smartest thing, I know, but I was fiending!!! Luckily, I would not be alone; 3 others were waiting for me at the bottom.

We ended up parking at the lot at the very bottom, where you come out whore or extra credit or whatever it's called, and shuttled it to the last spot where the last spot where Noble cuts across the paved FR. The trail was in NEAR PRIME CONDITION! It was packed, tacky, and nice. There were 2 or 3 wet spots; one right after the rock jump playground, and one or two at a few other places, but each of them were only 10ft or so of mud, so really not bad. I was expecting a lot of trail damage, but things were pretty much the same as I remembered it from months ago. While I wouldn't ride it the day after a rain, it holds up pretty well!

One of the guys (Alex?) had never ridden here before, so it was good to lead and take it slow. One part on Barney Rubble always slowed me down cuz I could never get the line right, but I stopped to look at it, walked back up, and found the fast line (read: STOKE!!!).

At the end of Noble, we cut to the left and climbed up Whore (or Extra Credit???). For the amount of rain we had, it was pretty loose sand climbing up. But coming down, now that was a blast! I had only ridden this part twice before. Last time was when I was about to pass out from Tour de Noble (I had never ridden anything even half this long before that), so I had no energy at that time to ride the Roman Wall. Today, I was not going to pass it up, especially after conquering Caterpillar on Chiquito my first time. Roman Wall is pretty darn cool!

I don't know, I guess I'm kinda rambling. But you know what, I don't really care. I love my bike, and I cherish every time I get on it. I know many look at this and say, "Geez, that's one heck of a drive from HB just to get one run in." But you know what, it's worth it to me. Any day I ride my bike, I end up with a smile on my face, good memories of fun times with friends, and may do I feel blessed by God.

So, where is the next ride?
