After watching a local downhill race, I was really amped to go riding.
As my girlfriend is a newbie, we opted for a ride in Aliso/Wood. From an earlier thread, I knew that Rob was going to be there with a friend, and hoped we'd be able to meet at some point. My girl was kinda lagging, so when we arrived at the parking lot and saw Rob's truck (sans occupants), I knew we'd have to cross paths on the trails or not at all. ![]() After a quick ride up Wood, we stopped at the Cholla trailhead for a breather and a couple of photos. We headed back down and turned onto Coyote Run where -as luck would have it- we came across Rob and Janet. The group of us continued down CR, and at the junction to Rock-It chanced upon a couple of the forest denizens, a pair of deer. With the girls in back and Rob on my tail, we took off again and finished our little ride. Upon returning, it was discovered that Rob had locked his keys in his truck! ![]() But not to worry... he was able to break into his own vehicle (showing remarkable talent and inventiveness for such things, i might add). All told, it was a fine afternoon!

i went for a quick morning ride in Aliso- had to be at work by 9:30, so I had to miss watching the race.
![]() I like the picture of Rob standing on his truck with a "break-in stick?".

Yes, I intend to have Laura sign-up with STR. Mazer, you were the guy who came down Rock-it when I was trying to photograph the deer (on the green bike), no? ![]()
