RR: Some trailside color @ CHWP

There have been a lot of posts lately showing some amazingly green hillsides. Not wanting to miss out I took off on my Friday afternoon ride through Claremont and Marshall Canyon to see some of that scenery myself and ended up noticing a lot of wildflowers blooming and hills fully cloaked in their finest shades of green.

3. A low carpet of pink and green
4. Gazenia? stuff grows everywhere
5. Buckwheat
6. Ribes species not blooming yet, but fully green
7. Ribes again
8. Unidentified
9. Tiny waterfall in a side canyon I never noticed before.

Awesome, if only it looked like this year round. I have also noticed the wildflowers blooming all over the place, it's going to be a beautiful spring.

I think the second is canterbury bells and the yellow is a monkey flower.

It will be a beautiful spring if we get more rain. I am glad that it will be good weather for VQ but we still need more rain.

Hard to tell from the pic, but not monkey flower (one of my favorites). There is a lot up there, but not quite ready to bloom yet.
