Default Friday Morning Mystery Trail

* If you're more or less local and know the trail for sure (as some here absolutely should, especially since I'm posting so many clues), just post "I know the trail" and PM me your answer. If you're correct, I'll post that you are correct.

* Hint: It's definitely within the STR sphere of influence, but it is outside the 'Orange Curtain'.

* This is really just the first 1/3 of the ride. If I posted any more, it may be too obvious

It starts with a climb... Don't they all

Nice to see so much 'green'.

I prefer to climb first and save the dessert for last.....

which means more climbing.....

and more climbing.....

Almost done with the bulk of the climbing.....

Took a little breather at the top.....

Now for a bit of a descent. These are looking backward from where I came. Some like to ride this in the opposite direction, so they may be familiar in that sense.

This one is looking in the direction I was riding.

And these are looking backward again.....

Looking forward again.....

Looking backward.....

And looking forward again..... Would it be a legit RR without one of these?

and one last shot looking backward.

Any further and things might become more obvious than they already are so the clues end here.

Take a shot and enjoy your Friday!

Los Robles?

If so, one of my faves, especially when you make it into a big loop by going over to Sycamore Canyon.

You're going to have to be more specific than that.

Oh, what is the "official" name of this one? Something like Los Robles West? You know, climb up to Space Mountain, cruise along the top for a while, then descend and climb back up to the intersection with the Rosewood trail.

You're supposed to PM the answer so others can guess

FWIW, it looks gorgeous, but nothing I've ever ridden!

The climb is up Rosewood, then in the opposite direction if you had climbed "Space Mountain"

The view from the top of the Rosewood climb:

Looking down "Space Mountain". One of my favorite descents.

Good call imnop, your turn...

So, since you posted the pics of this killer looking trail, when is the "guided tour"?

Very cool pics by the way!

Darin, very intuitive... But it's getting hard to squeeze a ride into the calendar around here lately. The trail is in such good shape right now, it would be better done sooner rather than waiting until late spring/early summer.

gil, yep, CC. It's part of the Conejo Open Space trail system.

The first 'real' mtb ride I did was to climb Space Mountain (at lunchtime on a summer day* ). Thought I was going to die.

Maybe that explains why, out of the 100+/- times I have done that ride, I have always preferred to climb Rosewood and descend Space Mountain

Burner: "This ride is FoShitzle's sandbagging lunch loop."

*Yea, it was mine too until last October
