Thumbs up Ahhh, grasshopper Jeff

Warm memories will you have when in cold Chicago... of green quite trails and far off vistas... of the sound of crunching leaves under knobby tires

....thanks for reminding us all how lucky we are to have this in our backyard....

Safe trip home... will miss you this weekend!

Great shots Jeff.

You're right on, Aliso is greener than I have seen too. I did a road ride Tuesday from RSM along the Aliso Creek Trail, down to Aliso Woods - then took the paved road all the way back in the canyon to the Aliso Creek Golf course. Even riding along the paved road, back into the canyon, it was simply gorgeous!!

Great photos and RR Jeff. Thanks for sharing. If work keeps me from riding at least I can live vicariously through your pictures.

Wow Jeff those are some cool pics I decided I was not feeling very well yesterday and took at from work and headed to El Morro. With the rains it was so refreashing to be outside riding yesterday. Some areas where muddy but overall the condidtions were awesome!!! Kinda rutty going down BVD but at the bottom of the canyon it was so green that the vegitation was taking over the trail.

I saw them, some are pretty deep. Man it's green / lush, the bottom of meadows is one big lettuce patch.

There are two types of rattle snakes in SoCal. , the Pacific (redish in color) and the Western Diamond Back (dark brown) . The Pacific is pretty docile while the Western is a bit more aggressive. Regardless, they both just want to be left alone and won't bother you if you don't bother them.
They were a rare sight last summer but I am pretty sure you will see plenty of them this year.

Don't worry...it's not like you'll run over one, get it wrapped up in your spokes, and upon every revolution of you wheel it strikes you in the buttocks. (a nightmare I had several years back..yeap, woke up all sweaty, heart beating like mad)
My dread is that I feel one day, I will come off the bike into a ravine of a nice den of them scaley sombiatches..ugh

Pacman pretty much did accomplish this last year... except I believe that he ejected from the bike to avoid the constant bottock abuse...
