You can tell I'm a native CaliGirl, anything below 70 and I'm freezing my arse off. Good job to all. I didn't even realize how many people were out yesterday while I was hiding in the car for Gabe to be done. He got 5th in his class, Expert DH. Way to go STR peeps!

That was a deliberate jam. I think a few people will be gunning for that kid at the next race.

I think all of the expert races are about like that. I'm not so sure I'm up for that kind of stuff all the time. My heart still starts racing every time I think about that final.
All I can say is nobodys getting away with falling back. If your in our moto, you're in the moto. Get in there and get yourselfsome.

As for that kid who jumped right across the lanes when it wasn't safe or prudent to do so...easy, lil' bro. You don't want to end up on the bottom of the pile. Some big boys in this class.

You guys are so right. I ride the 35-44 beg class and took 2nd again. I trained hard for the last 2 weeks hoping to beat the guy in my class which did not happen, although I did run my fastest lap ever. Could not do that in sport class though, I am fried after one lap let alone two. Anyways you guys are right like I said and it is getting time to move up to sport one of these days soon. Good job to all those who raced and or participated this weekend. P.S. sorry I did not see you this weekend J-MAN, maybe next time.

Holy crap..nice pics Sharky. Thanks.

I got the most out of my weekend riding at this last race weekend.
Nice to see a lot of racers brave the conditions -eventhough they weren't bad at all.
Here's from my second race run worth last place finish.

good times.. cya in two weeks.

you ran a 39 min lap right?

I came into this thread to ask this question anyway, so it's not directed at anyone specifically, but what's the magical time to beat before someone in beginner considers moving up a class? Obviously if you're winning by 10 minutes or so, the term "beginner" may not suit you, as I don't think it suits many already competing in that category.

i get the whole "i can't do another at race pace" argument as well but cmon i would hate to be in that 35-44 class racing other beginners.

i would say once you podium a few times..
i podiumed 3 times in beginner, the last one i won by 15 minutes

my lap was a 42 minute lap in my last beginner race...
and it was my first fontana race.
now with this sport race, the second lap wouldnt be so tough if i didnt take "breaks" from training
lol
