Doh!! The NEW replacement bridge is ¾ complete and should be wrapped up tomorrow with the generous donations the bridge committee has recently received.

When I rode down there with Mr. Hobbs today to take some measurements I was pleased to see someone had made repairs to the bridge but we can not take credit for that. I would like to thank whoever made the repair though.

I appreciate their work but would consider it a short term fix due to the undermining erosion on the upstream side of the bridge, and there needs a more permanent solution.Plus what do you do with a surplus bridge.

Anyway the new bridge must go on!!!!!!! And will be installed this week (weather pending)

smitty, I met you and tony a few weeks ago,I was the one grooming trails. I have a bridge built already and some extra wood. I live close by and have a truck, so let me know when you want this bridge and we will meet up and do some yard work.p.s. I have other ladder bridges aswell. JANK

I want to thank everyone who helped building those bridges. You guys rule! Any names for those new bridges? I really like the following names: Uppers, Lowers, and Old Man's (for the crossing bridge).

Mr. Hobbs must have a nice sore back after lugging that bridge the day after sleeping in his car on the wrong side of ortega.

Shoot me a PM next time you guys are doing any trailwork after 6pm (it'll be light soon enough). I used to do a ton of trailwork back east and would love to help support a local trail.
