Default Simpson Park in Hemet

Last week I did a solo ride out at Simpson Park in Hemet and I must say there was pretty nice riding there. It was my first time there and I did about 14 miles that included some huff and puff climbs as well some big grining twisty descents. There is more stuff out there so you can grab some more mileage once you figure the place out. I'm sure this place can be a real blister fest in the summer, (or maybe right now with this heatwave that started over the weekend) but with the cooler temps of winter combined with the moisture, the conditions our there must be about as good as it gets.

Here are a few pictures.

Bill I don't think I've ever read one of your reports where I didn't want to go ride that trail right now. Thanks again for all your work.

I've heard about this place so many times and its probably 30 minutes from my house and I have no idea how to get there or have even explored it. Could someone post directions to the trail head?

Is the fork still gone??

FWIW, Justin and I rode Simpson twice. He loved it, but it rained on us both times, so I am afraid to go back!!

When I first read it I got : Simpson's helmet in park. I was expecting homer to be doing tail whips.
Great ride report.

Nice RR. Simpson is fun. I haven't been in a couple years. Pacman knows the area pretty well not sure if he remembers all of it. Here are a couple pics from May in '06.

Simpson Park was about 1o minutes from my house before I moved back to San Diego. I lived in the Hemet area for about 5 years.

Simpson Park is not worth a long drive in my opinion, but is fun nonetheless. You can crank out some serious mileage if you hit all that is there.

There are a couple good routes on GeoLadders if anyone is wondering what route to take. Follow those and you won't be disappointed.

Here's a link to the pics I took:

Yeah, it is taking R. Shox forever to get the new one here. I am really itching for a ride! Also, I have not forgotten that we need to workout a way for me to pickup / pay for the brakes (I'll send a pm to you).

Very cool! Going to have to check that out some time. When I attended UCR I had a part time gig around that area and never knew about this trail!
