Default RR: ouch for me

I have been sitting at home sic for the last few days, and missed alot of riding due to the rain and back issues. Today I said F-it Im tired of sitting at home.So I ride from my house leaving at about 12:30.Well I am tired and worn out before I reach Hiltcher park, I haven't done any climbing yet. I press on with bouts of coughing that make it hard to keep the bike straight.Ok here comes the first climb, I do it in the middle chain ring and bonk.So I go back down give it another shot. This time I make it, but at the top: up comes the lunch, water and gu.Oh well, rest and keep going. Long story short I finished the ride in about 4 hrs-yikes.I went Through 3 liters of water on the LOOP!Well now I am home and It felt so good just to get on the bike even though I was hurting the whole time. I feel like I sweat the sickness right out of me.I'm glad I skipped the Pugz ride, I didn't want to hold anyone up. A solo ride was kinda nice.

See, some people stop to smell the roses, or those yellow things there.

Was he stopping for the flowers or did he only see them because he was bent over retching up his lunch and thought oh hey look flowers.

LOL... I came down with "The Crud" bronchitis on Jan 3rd when the flu floored me in bed for 2 days. It's been 5 weeks. Today, I did Viper, about 2200 vertical feet. At the gate, 1.8 miles and 950 vertical feet into it, we came to the gate across the fireroad. We stopped and Shot Blocked up, while both of us hacked, sputtered, spewed and gurgled up all sorts of nasty stuff while having another coughing spell. Didn't lose it, but I did "recycle" it over the taste buds! What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!

Good Job!

That first ride back is a killer... but the second one will be easier and the 3rd one easier yet... until you'll be back all the way... good job of not letting this get to you, grasshopper!

im getting over bronchitis myself and was soooooo tempted to ride this weekend, but per the dr.'s orders i resisted. with the CC coming up in 3 weeks, i didnt want to risk riding today and ruining my already crappy chances of finishing the CC. i actually did ride last weekend before i knew i had bronchitis, i was sick the week prior with a nasty head cold/congestion and waited a week before riding after finishing my meds. the result wasnt too bad, but my lungs were way restricted, and as soon as we stopped pedaling, the coughing attacks would start...they have subsided tremendously and im hoping to be back next weekend on the dirt...adrenaline demo on sat, and maybe a blackstar > sierra cruise on sunday.
