RR: Oaks 2/9
it didn't look like the usual saturday am crew was going to ride oaks, so i decided to just do some solo riding there today. to my luck i ran into Noel (hanzo), Toby (ODB) and Tim (grandpa) at the albertsons lot. the way up was pretty uneventful... i managed to clean both the first and second B's on my IH, which i never really tried before. Tim managed to clean the first in his middle ring on his 40lb asx....
 at the top of the second B we ran into Herbert  he was in a conversation with a couple that looked like they just wanted to get out of there  once at the top, the three stooges hit the table top a couple times and called it a day. Toby was the only extreme rider and hit the drop... noel and i did one of the upper rock rolls. zips is in pretty good shape, but the lower half of chutes is pretty littered with ruts all over the place. the winding singletrack has a long rut running the length of the trail... not too safe IMO.. nothing really special happened this ride, typical oaks cruise in the park. was nice to ride with some friends tho  regroup with Herbert walking away  air ducky   o yea after the ride, Tim and I stopped by adrenaline and ran into Dave senior  tim also demo'd a hardtail in the parking lot

Good times today with a nice easy pace and great weather. That hardtail was nice! I might have to build one up just like it.

Great seeing everyone today. Just a nice laid-back ride. I only wish the trails weren't in such poor shape. I went back for a second round up the B's and hit Waterfall, which is almost as rutted out as Chutes.
