La Costa Preserve
Well I have been tinkering off and on with getting a page put together on the La Costa Preserve for sometime and I finally got it done. It was one of those cases were I has waiting for the trails to settle out, but the reality is that the place has been changing for the last year and there are more changes in store over the next couple of years so the page will most likely be a continual work in progress.
La Costa is not a destination trail but if you live nearby or are passing through it is a nice quick escape. With maybe six miles of trails you will have to get creative to put in some serious miles. What is here are some really nice singletracks that flowing with some technical bits here and there.  OldDogDan summed up this place best when he said "While the place is low on mileage it is high on smileage"  Here is the full review and map of the place. -Bill |

I'll have to throw my bike in the car, when I'm planning on driving by this area and check it out... always fun to find a new area... like finding $$$.

Great review Bill. It's always kinda cool to see pics of one's local ride. Not to mention there's enough disclaimers and warnings of potential conflict to deter anyone from riding there without legal representation!

I think I'm gonna hit this tomorrow. Haven't been here for a few weeks...actually, last time I was here my bud ate some rock after I suggested he loweer his seat a little on Nascar..his reply..."thats cheating"...ooookaay
About 48 seconds later our ride is cut short So, this time I'll be taking Dirty Boo...can't wait. Thanks for the Write-up MTB Bill, awesome pics, and trailwork looks sweet!

Just rode their the other day for the first time, Thanks Bill! NASCAR is a blast, I had to do it twice. I wanted to go up again and do the other route Bill suggested, but I ran out of time, oh well next time. This my be my new favorite local trail. I think Calaveras will be missing the love.
