Aside from my little spill I took yesterday I had a blast! It was great to finally meet some of the STR peeps I have read so much about. I must say that the women of STR are incredible! Denmother - Thank you for doubling back at the top of Sullivan fire road to check on me...it shows the great compassion and camaraderie of STR folks, as you said,"we leave no Man or Woman behind. Nintense - I look forward to joining you again for more Santa Monica madness in the future, thanks for leading! On the injury note...I went to urgent care today (for about 3 and a half hours) and had an x-ray of my knee taken. The Doctor is sending the films to the radiologist to check out a potential patella fracture and recommended a follow up with my primary care physician. He said I would probably be getting an MRI to check for soft tissue damage if the swelling doesn't subside within a couple of weeks. It is not really painful at the moment but feels kind of "weird" when I flex it, kinda like something is stretching across the inside of the knee area. Maybe it's just the swelling. Here are a couple of pics for those who care to view them. Hopefully I'll be back on my bike soon and riding with you folks again.
