Thumbs up RR: Los Flores Long Loop w/ Big Guy

So, the kid's and I met up with Serge (Big Guy), Pat (CPATCRASH) and Raul (Chivo @ The Path), Sam and Dan(?) for a nice loop around the single tracks by Serge's place. I believe it was around 15 miles, with 1700 feet of climbing.

Along with me were Lacey 15, Jake 13, and Jake's friend Chris, also 13.

I know I've said it before, but I've got to say it again.....

Riding with the kid's is the BEST!

This was Lacey's first ride since racing DH in Fontucky back in November.
I don't know how she can go without riding for so long, and not even seem to miss a beat.
She did tell me afterwards, that she did get tired, and it felt great to be back on her bike!

As for Jake and Chris....

It was cool to watch them ride wheelies, hit jumps (the log jumps along Teiras Creek trail), mess around, and motivate each other up the climbs.
It's been a few week's since Jake's been in the dirt, and you could tell he'd been missing it!
He did great on the climbs, and he's getting stronger all the time.
This was only Chris's second time out mountain biking, and he rode like he's been doing it for years!
Today, I think we lit the MTB fire for him. Jake said he'd already asked about riding next week.

As for us grown up's.....

Serge is riding strong, and getting some real good use out of his new Kona Hei Hei 29'er.
Pappi and chivo are always fun to hang with, and Pappi even said that if it had been 20 degrees colder today, it would have been perfect!

Enough rambling, here's the pics......

our gang....

Chris and Jake head up the first climb...

Nice and green out today!

Jake, enjoying the rewards for the climbs!

I think this is the picture of the day!

Jake, again, enjoys the ride!!

I hope you enjoyed this post, as much as I enjoyed the ride!!

Fun ride yesterday. It's good to see the kids out again.

We didn't start riding from Serge's until around 9:30am.

What park?

I'm not sure of the names of what we rode, but yeah, it was ALL FUN!

My buddy's name is Brett, he's a fellow Canadian.

kudos to the young ones, they rode amazing. On that steep final single track, Chris was just behind me and rode it without any hesitation, he was in control. When he stopped at the bottom, he had a huge grin and said: that was scary! you could see in his eyes that he would not have hesitated to do it again.

Lacy was still riding strong and effortlessly. And we saw that Jake can ride very fast when he wants to get away from his old man.

Here is the loop:

Great ride, thanks for the pictures.
