MR: Switchback Clinic

Just wanted to thank Tim, Sherry, and Jason from Switchback Cyclery for hosting the STR Maintenance Clinic. It was very informative and I got to learn about truing wheels. Tim was patient and instructive through class. I liked the handouts, it made following the clinic very easy. Thanks again guys!

Can't wait for the next one.

Thank you to Switchback for putting on the maintenance clinic. Since many of us ride solo, its good to know how to fix whats broke. I learned several things today especially the wheel truing part. Thanks again.

Yes, THANK YOU Tim and Sherry.

The clinic you offered tonight on the "Basics" was great. You did an awesome job!!! Not just because you had the clinic, but you went out of your way to make sure we were all comfortable too. You practically rearranged your entire shop to provide enough room so everybody could watch Tim unobstructed, you had hand outs so we could all follow along, you had a raffle and gave away some great stuff....AND you even FED US!!!

Tim, great over all lesson!!! But I have to say, my favorite parts were when you were talking about Cleaning the Drive Train and Adjusting the Rear Derailleur!! THANK YOU!!! You Rock!!

I can't wait for the next one!!

another huge thanks to sherry and tim as well.

a lot of great info and a raffle to boot. even got to put some more faces to str names / avantars...always nice.

funny part for me was I left work early. drove home and jumped on my bike to ride to shop for 6pm start...only to be greeted by Tim with a smile and amazement that I arrived so early??? early u say, starts at 6pm right?...NO am told 7pm...argh i am a total knucklehead.

what to do? jump back on rig but all local parks are closed for night and something tells me i'm just not fast enough to ride to bstar, climb to beeks and ride back in 1 hour on the big rig (wonder if I could do it on my XC ).

anyway, hit the paved stuff for quick fast paced spin /curb hucks and back to the shop in time.

apologize to anyone if I had a bit of a stank going from ride but what do u expect from a guy riding a Stinky

Really enjoyed the clinic last night, and learned some very useful techniques. Thank you to Tim and Sherry for your expertise and time (not to mention the snacks!), it was most appreciated. Already looking forward to the next one!

Just wanted to say thanks to Tim and everyone else at Switchback for the clinic the other night. Appreciate the time and resources you put into to this and look forward to the next one. It's always awesome to meet some new STR people, too!
Also, thanks a lot for truing BOTH of my wheels!!! Good thing I got there early and my bike was near the truing stands!

I would have like to have gone... but I was distracted from trying to watch Gene pick up a surf board and go to work.... actually, I had band practice, but knowing Tim & Sherry, they put on an good demo.

Yup.....keep an eye out. We will be having another clinic sometime in Feb.
