I'm getting a muffin @ss from lack of exercise. Do you thing anything is rideable tomorrow, um, besides the streets and Fairview Park?
Thanks in advance for your info. |

Road on Sat after no rain on Thurs and Friday and it was still pretty muddy at Oso/Arroyo Trabuco/O'neill. Tires got loaded up with mud pretty good. Made climbs tough cause no traction. Nothing wrong with riding a bike path. Off the streets and still get to ride.

Amen, It just poured for a couple of days - Give the dirt a rest (unless you are hitting DG).

The other side of the Santa Anas should be ok....San Juan, Chiquito. Lots of granite, drains well.

My friend and I did Glendora Mountain Road (GMR) last Saturday on our mountian bikes. It was a beautiful ride and a great workout. I've only done GMR on my road bike, but really enjoyed it on mountian, especially coming down the hill. We ended up going about 15 1/2 miles and got in 3300 ft before turning around (it's 21 miles to Mt. Baldy). The road did get icy where we turned back. There are not very many cars on GMR. Once you get to Glendora Ridge Road at about the 8 mile mark (the road to Mt Baldy) it was closed to cars. This is a great "Plan B" if the trails are still soaked. First time my mountain bike touched snow.

Thanks guys. I ended up at Fairview for a quickie. I didn't want to risk trail damage or, worse yet, burning up a 1/4 tank of gas for a closed trail. RockinCasbah, if I lived closer, I'd hit you up on that ride. Maybe on a weekend day.
Fairview is fun, btw, if you live real close. You can't worry about damage because it's all jacked up. I love it, though, for a back up plan. You just gotta remember it's a park and you're not going to see any bobcats. Cougars, however, are out in droves. |

I road Serrano Creek last night from Foothill to the end of Lake Forest. Pretty packed, no mud, no soupy areas...just being off the bike for over a week hurts.

Cool, now that I think of it- I don't think I will actually go out and surf, it's the first team meeting at school so I may be done about 10 am.

Wait, tomorrow is Thursday! I'm all messed-up with my week. I have class until 1:45. I can probably do a 2:30 start time. Is that good, or are we gonna get caught in the dark? I don't have a light.
