They added a lap to Jessie he only did 4 laps (even he says so) Good Job on 2nd & 3rd guys! Jason & Heather will fix those results....once Jessie emails Jason to let him know his results are incorrect.

Great fun! Good people! By far the best race series I've ever supported.

My team (two peas and a pod, i was the pod) got 5th, but we should have had 4th. One guy stopped to help a biker in trouble on the first lap, just to give him a pump and a tube. Well, we were 1 minute behind 4th, so we could have easily made that minute up without him stopping to lend a helping hand. Oh Well! We will be back in June and leaner and meaner than ever! We are looking to start taking 3rd, but with that cytomax team out there 1st is already spoken for.

Oh yeah, and I think they were not doing good with thier timing this race. According to my clock, my buddy came in after like 56 minutes and they had him at an hour and the other guy came in one lap after like 1:15 and they gave him a 1:02. I dont get it

We managed to get 4th place for the 4 person team. I am pretty sure that we can take 2nd or 3rd for the June race. Just need to some more training, got time. The first place team had mostly times in the 50s.

Hats off to anyone that had times below an hour. that is my goal for the June race.

Sometimes you just have to stop and take in the scenery....smell the roses, etc.

Not sure how the rest of the solo riders do it but when you come thru the timing tent and don't have them stop the clock it obviously keeps going...hence the crazy long lap times!
I would think the super fast guys must have the lap time stop, go get their food/drink and then back to the tent and "start" that next lap.
I would roll thru, say my number, go to the HQ, hang out, rehydrate, hit the head, drink beer, eat Oreo Cakesters, etc and then head back out since I was already past the timing tent.
I did use my HRM for each lap for evelation/distance/BPM/time so I know what my "true" lap times were but if you got your next closest competitor by a lap, it doesn't really matter!

Hey, Neil, I didn't know you could stop the clock. I thought it was a running clock for the whole race. Or do they keep two times. The total time (running clock) and individual lap times(riding only, where you can check in or out and stop the clock). Doesn't seem to make any sense to stop the clock besides just personal knowledge of your laps. I thought # laps then total time was what counted.

I don't think Monique stopped the clock. My GF saw her husband ride out next to her and pass her food/supplies so she never even had to slow down or stop to pit.

At the Granny Gear events and some local endurance races back home you have a RF card you have to scan in and out each lap...that way everyone starts with the same time, you come in and scan your card then scan back in and head out-as the big guns do!- or go do your thing them come back and scan in and go out.
Tedious but extremely accurate.
It works perfect for teams because you are both present at the table for the swap.
Confusing for a soloist but it allowed for "real" lap times, not lap plus rest plus potty break plus grub then out on the course and then back in..hope that helps Carl

I love what Jason and his family have done for the Vail Lake trails, hosting a killer endurance series and I love the grass roots vibe so if the times are sorta close, that's fine with me

My avg HR's were like double that practically!

Lap 1 - 54:17.3 - Avg 186 Max 196
Lap 2 - 58:22.7 - Avg 184 Max 194
Lap 3 - 1:08:13 - Avg 173 Max 188
Lap 4 - 1:02:08 - Avg 163 Max 186
