We all needed to get on the bike today but didn't want to mess up the trails, so we chose to stay low and in the sandiest terrain we could find.
Gene, and my buddies Steve (Alpine Rob on Geoladders) and Steve (Whitechocolate on Geoladders) met me at my house in RSM and we rode from there. Under threatening skies we hurried south hoping to get in some miles before the rains came. Actually the conditions turned out to be not too bad and we didn't get too muddy. We had a blast in the long run and got in over 15 miles. Here was our route: IMG_7003.jpg Heading down the Gilleran Drop. IMG_7004.jpg Lower Arroyo Trabuco. IMG_7005.jpg Steve on Tijeras Creek Trail. IMG_7006.jpg Steve and Rob on Tijeras Creek Trail. IMG_7007.jpg Gene on Waterworks. IMG_7008.jpg Rob on Waterworks. IMG_7009.jpg Steve on Waterworks. IMG_7010.jpg Bar shot on Waterworks Trail. IMG_7011.jpg Gene and Rob heading back up by the apartments in Arroyo Trabuco. IMG_7012.jpg Gene. IMG_7013.jpg Gene and Rob. IMG_7014.jpg Crossing Tijeras Creek. IMG_7015.jpg Entering the Jungle. IMG_7016.jpg In the Jungle. IMG_7017.jpg Gene doing extra credit on Cox Hill. IMG_7018.jpg Gene leading the group up the last section of Cox Hill. IMG_7019.jpg Alpine Rob. IMG_7020.jpg White Chocolate. IMG_7021.jpg Gene and Steve. After the ride we came back to my house for many beers...and the it was time for Rock Band on the Xbox 360. What a blast that was with adults rather than my kids! I found out Gene is a wicked guitarist! We played for hours until I was out of beer and we had to put my kids to bed. Thanks everyone for a really fun time! Had a good time today on the ride and playing Rock band. I don't know what was more tiring, riding or playing Rock band. Thanks for the good times John and Kristine aka Singletrack Angel.

the rain can't stop us! Nice post....
![]() I was solo at Ladera 3rd lookout; a bit of mud at the bottom of a hill by the golf hole and house. Your ride sounds / looks better ! Then went over to Aliso Summit for the view and to climb a few paved hills |
